Falmouth Schools elementary complex consists of the Plummer Motz School and the Lunt. Lunt School was renovated in 1993 with the addition of offices, gym, food service, and classroom space. It was further expanded in 1997 with the addition of a ten-room modular wing. Current enrollment at the Middle School is 733 students from grades five through eight. The mission of Falmouth High School is to aspire to provide a healthy environment where all students are safe, valued equally and able to experience the rewards of learning. Students engage in their own education and are challenged to pursue their goals and aspirations.

Falmouth Private Schools Maine Continuing Education 
Located in Orono, the University of Maine offers a strong traditional education at an affordable price. Founded in 1865, the university offers 88 bachelor's degree programs, 64 master's degree programs, and 25 doctoral programs. Since 1923 graduate work has been a separate division of the University. Today the master's degree is offered in over 60 areas of study and the doctorate in 26 areas. The University of Southern Maine is the largest of the seven campuses of the University of Maine System, as well as one of the oldest, with its founding in Gorham in 1878. USM is a major educational force in the overall growth and improvement of the economic, civic, social, and cultural fabric of southern Maine.
