New Home Construction in Maine
During the last two years new home construction has been slow, to say the least. Currently in Cumberland County there are 48 “To Be Built” homes available for sale priced below $225,000.
In this price range, if you look at it closer, there are only 20 homes offering at least 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Of these homes, very few have been started. Most builders do not have the financial capability to build homes without firm contracts in hand.
