Snowlion Repertory Company is new to the Portland area.  Founded only this year by Al D’Andrea and Margit Ahlin, the company is focused on embracing exciting contemporary work that explores issues of cultural, ethical, and spiritual value.

Al and Margit have a long and celebrated history in the theatre world, with over 60 years of combined experience.  Before their recent move to Maine they were co-founders of two successful stage companies – Third Step Theatre Company in New York and WordzWorth Productions in Los Angeles.

Curtain Up – First Friday Art Walk

During last month’s Curtain Up Snowlion introduced the cast for their first production, The Christmas Bride, scheduled for December 15-21 at the Lucid Stage.  Set in the English countryside and the dark underbelly of London, this charming musical features love lost and found, family and faith as it follows young Marion Jeddler on her journey to recover her home and discover her self through a world filled with delightful Dickensian characters.

Fund Raiser

On Friday October 14th join the cast for an “all you can eat” lasagna dinner at Steve & Renee’s Diner from 5:00 to 7:00pm.  For the price of a donation to the company enjoy the great dinner!  All proceeds will benefit Snowlion’s inaugural production.  As mentioned, the cast will be on hand to sing several numbers from the show.
