It is a classic New England town that still can be considered a “village”.  The small downtown includes a combination of old homes and small businesses, a beautiful parkway along the picturesque Royal River, a sheltered port in Yarmouth Harbor and a diversified commercial base along U.S. Route 1. Yet it is still close the southern Maine business hub of Portland.

2013 Compared to 2012 - YTD Sales Results

The Yarmouth real estate market, like all markets across the country, is affected by many factors.  It is a relatively small market, yet one of the higher-priced markets in Southern Maine. As a result, often month-to-month results yield wide fluctuations.  Reviewing sales data on a YTD comparion attempts to moderate the affects of seasonality, cyclicality, unusual high-end sales and macroeconomics.
