Stroudwater Real Estate
Portland neighborhoods

Encompassing the area west of the railroad tracks, and abutting South Portland to the south and Westbrook to the west, Stroudwater is a very residential neighborhood. The area is characterized by its well-preserved colonial-era homes and picturesque streets that reflect the neighborhood’s rich heritage. The Stroudwater River meanders through the area, adding to its scenic charm and providing opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking and birdwatching.

At the southern tip of Stroudwater is the Portland Jetport and the neighborhood is home to the Tate House –the oldest building in Portland–and the Stroudwater Historic District, as well as the Stroudwater River and trail. Parts of the Stroudwater neighborhood are on or near the waterfront, and as coastal community there are many amenities and recreational activities available to local residents. In addition there is a historical feel throughout; it’s very walkable and densely populated.
