Munjoy Hill: Located on Portland’s peninsula, Munjoy Hill and the Eastern Promenade features a thriving tight knit community, offering a number of cozy coffee shops and restaurants that allow neighbors to mingle. munjoyhillBack Cove: Circling the Back Bay, this area of older homes offers many views of the Back Bay (also known as Back Cove) and the downtown area. westendNorth Deering: Many nice homes and tree-lined streets can be found in this area. This area is ideal for families. Driving into downtown can be a little problematic and may take about 10 to 12 minutes. The two main arteries are Washington and Forest Avenues which get fairly crowded during rush hour. Bayside: Centrally located, Bayside is actually comprised of two distinct sections – East and West.  Both provide easy to the heart of the city and is the focal point of considerable renovation and restoration. Here are properties currently for sale.

baysideDowntown: Also known as the Old Port, this area of town includes most of the city’s night life, restaurants and boutique shopping. oldportRosemont: The family-friendly Rosemont neighborhood, with its small streets and older homes, is tucked between Deering Center to the north and Libbytown to the south. rosemontWoodfords: This in-town enclave (also known as Oakdale) is dominated by small streets and local neighborhoods, and also includes The Highlands community. It is a vibrant and growing area. nasonscornerEast Deering: Large geographically, this neighborhood features a very nice suburban feel.  It is close to town and there is easy access to the highway. Deering Center: Situated between Brighton Ave, Woodford St, Forest Ave and Walton St, Deering Center is home to many schools, including Longfellow Elementary, Lincoln Middle School and Deering High School, as well as the historic Evergreen Cemetery and Baxter Woods nature preserve.
